Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacometrics

The Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacometrics research theme encompasses clinical pharmacy practice in hospital and community settings, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics modelling at individual and population levels and novel clinical trial design.

Our achievements

• Clinician-researchers who are leaders in their respective fields in both hospital- and community-based clinical pharmacy practice.
• Completed multinational, multi-centre studies that have informed how best to optimise life-saving medications in difficult-to-treat, high risk population groups.
• Leading the concept, design and coordination of large NHMRC-funded clinical trials such as BLING III and its pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) sub-study that will provide definitive evidence informing world-wide practice.
• Consistently publishing in top tier journals including – The Lancet, Chest, American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology.
