Originally from the UK, Linda has a diverse and global background, having spent 15 years within the financial services industry, working in various graduate recruitment roles based in London, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Linda joined UQ in 2017 as an Employability Specialist in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law, working closely with Finance and Economics students, academics and industry partners. In her current role at the School of Pharmacy, Linda is responsible for developing strategic relationships within the MTP sector in order to identify and manage student placements as part of the new Master of Pharmaceutical Industry Practice. Her role is also student facing and, using her extensive professional experience and pragmatic approach, Linda is able to help students to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice, develop their employability toolkit and become industry-ready.

Immediately prior to joining UQ, Linda spent four years in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Linda holds a First Class Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Japanese and German from Liverpool John Moores University in the UK, and an Advanced Master in Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management from The University of Queensland.
