Industry placement opportunities

UQ’s two year program delivers industry-ready graduates with a depth of understanding of all aspects relating to the pharmaceutical industry.

Overview

Courses cover all stages of the drug or device development process:

  • Drug design and formulation
  • Pre-clinical drug development
  • Clinical drug development and biometrics (including a GCP Certificate)
  • Post-registration life cycle management
  • Device development, drug manufacturing, regulatory affairs and governance
  • Project management and commercialisation in the pharmaceutical industry

Students may undertake one or two extended industry placements (3-5 months), in any field related to the program, including:

  • Clinical Research
  • Formulations
  • Manufacturing
  • Market Access
  • Marketing
  • Medical Affairs
  • Pharmacovigilance
  • Production
  • Project Management 
  • QA/QC
  • R&D
  • Regulatory Affairs
  • The minimum requirement for a placement is 12 weeks, and can extend to 23 weeks
  • Placements can be intrastate, interstate, international or virtual
  • Placements are unpiad but there is the option to offer a bursary to assist with living costs
  • Students are shortlisted and selected by you
